Library Search

Between 2017 and 2021, I led a series of projects to integrate the Library’s discovery (search) system into our website, initially using Summon, and eventually migrating to Ex Libris’ Primo VE.

The project was supported by a series of usability tests conducted in mid-2018, aimed at evaluating prototypes and beta versions of the system. These tests were crucial in the initial phases for improving the system’s user interface.

The project involved extensive customization of Primo, including interface updates to incorporate tools like StackMap, LibChat, and Browzine, aimed at facilitating better access to library resources. It underscores my hands-on experience in software development, data wrangling, and the customization required to enhance library discovery and access services.

I became a certified a Alma and Primo VE administrator.
